Medical Facilities at ART
The motto of ART is to provide street dogs with what they’re missing. The medical cell provides free treatment to rescued animals from all over Pune, and has treated approximately 8000 patients till now. We have 27*7 webline, WhatsApp and SMS reporting services. ART aims to provide medical services at very low costs as compared to private clinics.
Art has a separate ward for paralysed patients who are often admitted due to hit and run cases. They are hand-fed and are provided with smooth, polished surfaces in order to prevent skin damage when they begin to drag themselves after treatment. The cage-free environment at ART helps in reducing the stress of being sick or injured, allowing them to recover well.
Advanced ECG Machine
A multi parameter ECG machine that analyzes blood pressure, temperature and respiratory rate has helped shift from using primitive techniques that can lead to severe blood loss during surgeries. This makes amputations, orthopedic plating, tumor surgeries and treating broken jaws safer.
Portable XRay Machine
A Portable X-Ray Machine can be made available, so animals don’t have to travel too far and suffer any discomfort in cars just to get X-Rays.
Isolation Ward for Rabies & Distemper
Rabies and Distemper Quarantine Ward along with PCR tests to detect distemper in dogs
Gastro Ward that has performed many GDV surgeries (Gastric Dilation and Volvulus) that have saved many would-be amputations.
